STARTER: Write down the approximate answers to the following questions
- 47 x 89
- 36 x 117
- 237 x 450
- 790 ÷ 38
- 178 ÷ 47
- (43 + 27) x 28
- (217 – 48) x 12.3
- (645 x 28) ÷ (34.7 + 62.3)
- 23 packets of crisps at 53p per packet
- 2 magazines at £3.45 each plus a 90p Newspaper for 6 days
Use a calculator to work out the exact answers to answer all of the above
