LEARNING OBJECTIVE: To discover how to work out the median and range of a set of data items

SUCCESS CRITERIA: Giving a set of data you will be able to work out the median value and the range of the data

STARTER: Find the mode and mean of the following two data sets

Answer 4 + 6 + 3 + 4 + 3 + 4+ 6 + 7 + 8 + 4 + 6+ 4 + 7 + 9 = 75, 75 / 15 = 5

Mode = 4

 Answer: 1.2+2.3+2.6+2.3+2.1+2.5+2.3 = 15.3, 15.3 / 7 = 2.1857142

Mode = 2.3
